• Salvation

You were created to know God in a personal way – to have a relationship with Him, through His Son, Jesus Christ. How do you start a relationship with God?

    1. Realize that you are a sinner.

No matter how good of a life we try to live, we still fall miserably short of being a good person. That is because we are all sinners. The Bible says, “No one is good—not even one.” We cannot become who we are supposed to be without Jesus Christ.

    2. Recognize that Jesus Christ died on the cross for you.

The Bible tells us that “God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while were still sinners.” This is the Good News, that God loves us so much that He sent His only Son to die in our place when we least deserved it.

    3. Repent of your sin.

The Bible tells us, “Repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away.” The word repent means to change our direction in life. Instead of running from God, we can run toward Him.

    4. Receive Jesus Christ into your life.

Becoming a Christian is not merely believing some creed or going to church. It is having Christ Himself take residence in your life and heart. Jesus said, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in . . .” If you would like to have a relationship with Christ, simply pray this prayer and mean it in your heart.

“Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I believe You died for my sins. Right now, I turn from my sins and open the door of my heart and life. I confess You as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank You for saving me. Amen.”

  • Baptism

If you have already accepted Jesus into your heart, then you are ready to be baptized! Just like a wedding ceremony shows the public that a man and a woman have decided to pledge their life to each other, baptism shows the world that you have accepted Christ as your Savior and are now living for Him. Because Jesus instructed us to be baptized, it is an act of obedience.

Jesus also set the example for us by being baptized by John. In Matthew 3:15, Jesus told John that He should be baptized to fulfill all righteousness. Though we do not believe it is a condition of salvation, it is a crucial part of our testimony. It signifies to the world that our old man is dead and gone and a new man is alive in Christ.

    • Grow

Every believer should have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ that is growing and thriving. We will assist and encourage you as you grow in your walk with the Lord. We believe that every person should become a growing disciple of Christ who is passionate about extending the kingdom of God. To grow in Christ is to be emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually sold out to Christ. This involves doing all that is possible to become what Christ desires you to be.

      • Join the DREAM TEAM

God is changing lives every week at City Park Church. Behind every changed life are the faces of our DREAM TEAM. Whether it’s helping guests find a seat, working with our children, operating stage lights or anything in between, our DREAM TEAM volunteers are connectors to the current of the power of Christ. There is simply no greater joy than to know God uses you in a way that makes an eternal impact on others.  Once a quarter we have a DREAM TEAM RALLY (see our calendar) on a Sunday night from 6-8PM.  The first hour we all meet with our team leader for updates and continuing team training.  The second hour we all come together for team games, awards and leadership inspiration.  This is a fun team to be a part of.
